I consider T2, T3, Tag 1, T4 & T5/DR to have the best OSTs.
Also the sound bites for all the characters was published. Christie's unused moans from 4:36 though, I see why they weren't used. |

Some new Tekken 7 interview:
Here is some summary of what Harada says: 1.Switching to Unreal 4 was a difficult challenge for them during development.(Before that they always used in house engines) 2.They wanted to make 2 seasons for Tekken 7 but after seeing the success and demand they made 2 more seasons. 3.Harada likes to explore the story of Tekken in an RPG game to give more development for characters. 4.For Tekken 7, they chose to make the game look more fun for spectators(With features such as slow motion) to encourage them to play the game themselves. |

This Death by Degrees outfit mod is so cool.
Also noticed that game did X-Rays way before Mortal Kombat did. Last edited by xdesperado_; 19-01-21 at 20:29. |

I enjoyed Death By Degrees far more than Tekken force modes and the Scenario campaign of Tekken 6.
Unfortunately, Death By Degrees is kinda a difficult game to enjoy due to those very long loading times.(Playing it on PCSX2 with the iso dumped from the disc makes the loadings better but it's still not good enough.) This game had some kinda "adaptive AI". If you use firearms and swords, enemies will begin using firearms against you. If you use melee attack moves enemies will try to beat you with melee attacks. I also liked the mini-games.(Just didn't like the swimming sections) After you beat the game the game gives you extra missions for the mini-games. I just didn't like the long loading times, using right analog stick for attacks and the camera. DBD deserves a remaster imo. It's the only game I played where you can be a badass female spy and beat/kill soldiers with assassin style melee attacks alongside using firearms and melee weapons. |

I remember being so hyped for the game when it was coming out, it was around the same time that T5 was released I think.
I kept on playing the demo version repeatedly, but I didn't buy the full game until many years later. Then I tried it, but the novelty wore off for me - I just never bothered to finish it. Omg those swimming sections were so stupid. And Nina's in-game model looked atrocious. |

I don't blame you for it though since that game had one of the worst loading times I've ever seen on PS2.(Even the menus took a lot to load.)
I also had to force myself to actually finish it on PS2.(At very least on the emulator it was a better experience due to making loading times better.) I remember Itagaki(Dead Or Alive director) mocked that game but imo DBD was far better than those DOA extreme Beach Volleyball games. |

The game was a great play. I'm so gutted I seem to have lost my copy. I definitely think it was ahead of its time in some regards. Had it been released on the PS3 era then people wouldn't have been too bothered about using the analogue sticks to control Nina I dont think. The load times and general graphics would have improved too.
One thing that really annoys me is the music in the game is so good but because the loading interrupts it you often end up listening to the same 2 minutes over and over again. I would love a remaster but I doubt Capcom even remember it exists now. Last edited by jajay119; 20-01-21 at 09:41. |

DBD was ahead of it's time. That Nina CGI model was gorgeous!
I'd love a remake. |

DBD's story wasn't that special but it was far superior than majority main Tekken stories imo.
If you don't know, DBD was in some ways inspired from Jet Li's Rise To Honor.(Which was also a good game. I just didn't like it's stealth sections.) |

This (terribly executed) quiz was fun to do.
I got 3300 points (Raijin rank) - my actual irl online rank is a Mighty Ruler. Last edited by xdesperado_; 23-01-21 at 23:48. |
