That would be so nostalgic and really successful!

And people say Those Who Wish Me Dead wasn't Angie's TR reboot movie. It's a literal scene from the game with the ax, ponytail, fire in the background, she does the parachute thing. The whole movie is a reboot remix. That was her gift to the Tomb Raider fans, and she even mentioned Tomb Raider with a suspicious look when doing press for it for the fist time in years. I love that woman. I think she would come back for the right story and right price. She is loved and adored for it and she has a great sense of humor about herself. I don't think she would stick her nose up at it at all. She was born for the role and it's still hers.

Assuming they won't be getting Alicia back:

Lily James would be a great choice imo. She's got the looks, she's got the accent, she can act and she's high profile enough to pull a crowd but not so high-profile that she'd be out of reach for a TR film. And, I mean, just look at this and tell me she doesn't look like Lara:

Kate Beckinsale would be so good for the role, as well, because she just oozes class and intelligence. But they'll probably be too scared of showing Lara in her 50s which is a shame.

Yes, exactly. Thank you! I totally agree with everything. I think she would also love to be involved in the script work or directing etc. if she is happy with the story and the message of the movie she will definitely join and return.

She still looks amazing. And she already put so much input into tomb raider with the first two movies. She decided on the hair and the all black for the first movie. Then in the second movie she wanted to flesh out Lara relationship wise, which gave the movie it's own unique flavor in the Tomb Raider universe. Now as a more mature tomb raider she can show what a badass Lara is at every age. She will never be this young again. She can still do action and I think doing a TR1 movie would absolutely change the world.

I don't think this is just a "funny coincidence", I think she's interested on the role and is trying to get attention. Nevertheless, I don't really see her as Lara

Na she's just a clown. I mean who would turn down that role. But she can't seriously think she's in the running. She has to be a real fan though to know that they're casting and to be talking about it like that. The way she was like Lara Croft is the Character in Tomb Raider, it's like she's sharing her insider nerd knowledge with normies. She's definitely in our club lol.

I really need to watch more films, I had to Google her . They're casting for the role? She must mean the game (VA auditions that we're aware of) as there's no way any casting is being done for movie just yet as there's a bidding war going on for film rights. I think I'd need to see her in something before making a judgement. Good to see TR getting some recognition.

Edgar Wright has some clout as a director though. If he ever was considered to direct Film need twitter would be buzzing.
