Edgar Wright would be an excellent choice as a director. He is British and has a lot of talent.
Aubrey Plaza is older than Alicia. I doubt that she is a candidate. I think that if Alicia is not chosen again, Daisy Ridley or Emma Watson could be important candidates. They are both British, young, very popular and now they don't have any franchises. Although let's not forget the other candidates for TR2018: -Emilia Clarke -Saoirse Ronan -Cara Delevingne Let's hope they don't return to that list... It also depends on how long the new movie takes. I dunno if Emma Watson would want the role in another potential franchise. In the past she has spoken about not being a fan of the fame that comes with the territory and has taken a step out of the public eye for the foreseeable.
Daisy Ridley would be a great choice, Margot Robbie too. I dunno if they'll go for younger or older this time. I'm potentially hopeful for a Lara that is in her 30s. Alicia will be a tough act to follow.

OMG please not Emma Watson! I can’t look at her
 she is so flat, boring and has the body of a young man. No lips, no charisma, nothing,…. No thanks!I prefer Emma Stone than lol Recently watched Resident Evil Netflix show. The fans hate it but I liked it. Paola Núñez was the best. Never seen her before in anything but she is so beautiful! Even she could be a greater Lara than Emma Watson. While she's not as curvaceous as Lara, her body type isn't like a young man's either. Mind you people said similar about Alicia too
