You'll have your WB contact leak the whole movie from you, won't you?

BTW, your signature!

hahaha the problem of the 2018 movie is that we got a draft of that movie! And as it was so horrible everyone read it ... when the movie was released and we all didn't know the story! the good part is that the movie was better than the draft and we were all happy

I wasn’t. The storyline of the 2018 film was horrendously awful.

Compared to the filtered script it looks like a masterpiece!

I haven't read it, but for what I remember from the spoiler thread, London was better, but everything else was way, WAY worse. Like, "Richard basically becoming the protagonist" worse.

And I know you will argue that at least it had something supernatural, but " real virus-induced recent zombies" >> "possibly supernatural/possibly not incestuous canibal albino zombies". Both ideas are terrible compared to an actual supernatural Himiko and Stormguard, but IMO what we got was better.

Not even London was better. Lara was presented as your basic, party girl.

The original draft was just bad all around. What we got wasn't spectacular, but it could've been worse.

Yes ... the draft was terrible.

The part of London was horrible. I would only save that Lara went to University. Roar and Alicia made that script more adventurous, serious and dramatic. They also gave much less prominence to Richard and Lara was more intelligent, determined and brave in the movie.

The problem is that they preserved the entire structure of the script: London, Hong Kong, Yamatai ... Virus, Trinity, Richard. So we didn't get any surprises ... but I felt happy because the script was so bad that seeing how they improved it made me happy.

That would be..... an interesting idea.
But to be honest, I don't even know what his or her job is in WB. I don't even know who he or she is; it's that DC Comics fan page that does the talking. So I don't know if he or she could do that.

And yeah, the movie was way better than the draft we read for the 2018 movie. I remember I was constantly stopping reading it because it was just that bad.

Soooo, it's been 4 months since it was announced that Amy Jump was working on a script for the next movie. According to a quick Google, the standard contract for a feature film is 10-12 weeks for a 1st draft...

I wonder when we'll hear some further news on the movie and if we have a greenlight? I fully suspect that Amy had already started the script when the news was released back in April anyway???

On a side-note, Amy's director husband, Ben Wheatley has been hired to direct a UK Zombie drama for Channel 4 called Generation Z. This will likely put him out of directing TR2 as filming is scheduled to take place next year.
