EDIT: I don't know if this bug existed in the original DOS based exe, because music support never existed in TRUB until fan-patched to TombATI, and I don't think the original TR1 ever had "do x things to play soundtrack" triggers put in game by the devs.

Guess I could find out some time later... Shouldn't be too difficult to find a scenario where I have to use 2 keys, and mod some music into this. Maybe The Cistern will do. Will try some time this week.
I looked into it and I'm like 95% sure it's an issue with the level file. UB was only ever made for PC, so the music in the levels is fan made. They screwed up this trigger, and so it kills all music. Save/reload is the only way to get the background music back.
Yes just read your edit and I agree with your conclusion. If you find anything out through testing let me know.

I can't make it work, i put everything in steam folder but after eidos logo game black screen and freezes. I'm not sure if i'm installing it correctly.

What's the error message? There's an installer releasing soon that should really simplify the process. In the meantime, you probably are missing the level files I'd guess. Download TombATI and copy the data and music folders into your Tomb1Main install.

Release 2.10 is out! https://github.com/rr-/Tomb1Main/releases

Here's a video showcasing the new features:

  • added a .NET-based installer
  • added the option to make Lara revert to pistols on new level start
  • added the PS1 style UI
  • added the "Story so far..." option in the select level menu to view cutscenes and FMVs

Note: the .NET installer may require you to install .NET from Microsoft: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/d...=getdotnetcore

Wonderful feature additions. Amazing work as always

Edit: Tried this out - everything is working well but when it asks to save between levels and I hit Enter, Ctrl, etc. it just closes the passport without saving. Could I have potentially made a typo in the .json?

Edit 2: Nvm, think I fixed it

Idea while playing a TR1 custom level last night.

Would it be possible to stop the engine (or toggle on and off) from applying pitch varience to sound effects? A notable example being Lara's vault up sound, in the PC version this changes almost each time.

From my memory, sound effects in the original PS1 version never (or very rarely) deviated from pitch on a random basis.

Addition: the third level of Sabatu's Rebirth, level3a.phd, doesn't work with Tomb1main specifically, full crash on load. I just found this kind of peculiar I guess... Havent come across this with any other custom levels yet, something the devs might want to look at on the side
