Talking about implementing high speed rail in Australia for the last 40 years and still not doing it.

Implementing fiber optic cabling for wifi access in roads except keeping the copper wires directly to the houses.

There is a reason why Australia has really bad internet access.

This is the dumbest decision ever and it may be hard to top it.

I read this in a post on Gamecentral, I'll summarise it rather than quoting it word for word.

You've all heard of loot boxes who hasn't, well prepare for mystery laptops.

For an initial outlay you make a laptop purchase which will come with a minimum level of hardware. If you're lucky you may get a better processor, more memory or storage and maybe even a better screen.

However much they're charging for the laptops will be too much, loot boxes are bad enough but mystery laptops are just ridiculous that brings to mind the old saying a fool and they're money are soon parted.

If anyone wants to look at the website selling the mystery laptops it's called Woot.

that’s just gambling...

I would buy a computer only after I research about it...

That’s just for people who like to waste money for something,
be it for a good thing or bad thing. Who ever takes a part in that, I reckon doesn’t even want a laptop.

Games companies that don't include the DLC code for a games DLC in the box but instead include a code that you have to input on a website to get the DLC code for the game.

That's what happened with Deus Ex Mankind Divided, it would have been so much easier if they had included the DLC code in the box instead of making me jump through hoops to get the code, this was because of the digital books that were a bonus for pre-ordering the game plus because of the font they used I couldn't tell if one part of the code was a zero or the letter o.

The code should have been included in the box like it was with Deus Ex Human Revolution.

I saw it in one of today's papers that some school principals here in Ireland have discouraged pupils from taking part in climate change protests as part of the school climate change strike movement.

Some school principals have labelled the strikes infuriating, it seems that the schools that discouraged the kids care more about keeping their attendance figures up than more important issues.

Right up until I left school for good back in 2003 I frequently heard the teachers say that keeping the attendance figures up was more important than anything else.

Since it's rare that young people care about major issues like climate change, the school principals should be encouraging them to take part not discouraging them from taking part.
