Looks to me like it might be an issue with how you ripped the models. If you only want to get rid of single edges that don't form faces, you could try going into edit mode, selecting all vertices and then using Delete Loose under Mesh -> Clean Up.

Best bet would be to find a PC game where you can rip the models directly from the game files as opposed to capturing them. If there's no PC version of the game available and you don't want to use another game, I'd suggest retopologising your models. It's a bit more work but it lets you retain the shape of the original models while giving you a clean slate vis-a-vis topology.
