Default The next Tomb Raider could have online elements

This is an article
https://www.gamevicio.com/amp/notici...mpression=true
It's in Portuguese but I translated it with Google translate

Quote:
It seems that the Crystal Dynamics studio is really happy in this new journey with Online Games and Games as a Service aspect. The studio, together with Eidos-Montréal, recently launched Marvel's Avengers, a Looter-Shooter GAAS, as well as working on a New PvPvE Online IP, and of course, is developing the new Tomb Raider.

The new Tomb Raider, which is set to follow as the 2018 Shadow of the Tomb Raider sequel, with the Prologo Trilogy ending, and will now follow new paths. The studio is looking for several employees on its LinkedIn and Official Sites (including Eidos Montréal), for the future content of Marvel's Avengers, its New IP Online, and Tomb Raider, and the latter in particular, should evolve some mechanics of Tomb Raider 2013.

Crystal is looking for a cinematic adventure with a lot of action and gameplay, according to her latest vacancies, and that she is quite expansive and elastic, to be quite interactive among the players and more social, with Online elements that can be influential in the narrative.

The specific studio that is not a GAAS, which is already enough to calm most fans of the franchise, but that will be a game with many elements for multiple players, which leads fans to question what direction Lara's adventure is taking. Croft in Tomb Raider will go.

It is not strange to see this excessive focus of Square Enix Europe (Western Square) in online and more social games. The company tried this in 2015 with Traid Wars, then in the mobile industry by taking SE Montréal out of the single-player GO puzzle games to create Hitman: Sniper, a free-to-play, after that we have Marvel's Avengers, and in 2021 , Outriders.

If the company follows the standards of the latest Tomb Raider, the game should be presented in 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Square's already announcement to have postponed all of its 2021 productions to FY 2022 and 2023, perhaps even it took us a while to see Lara Croft back in action

Lol

On a serious note I hope this isn't true. This is not what the consumer wants. Why on earth do they insist in conspiring against the consumer? Why do they insist on swiming against the currents? Why do they keep rejecting Tomb Raider? The other day people were saying Crystal Dynamics as a studio have few fans if none at all, why?? Because they don't care about their fans. They constantly mistreat and trash their fanbase, why would they be loved like Capcom or Naughty Dog who actually listen to their fans. If it is true it just gets to show once more how little love they actually have for Lara Croft and how our theories about CD hating the series and it's roots are true afterall. It would be like admitting they hate what TR stands for yet again.

So I hope it isn't true.

Now that I read again with more attention this article, it all seems about assumptions rather than news, isn't it ?
