Talking UnpackTRU

Does anyone know what the thud sounds and where the screams for Lara are located and what hashcode in Tomb Raider: Underworld's bigfile files?

I want to extract them for something I'm doing.

Maybe to late for a reply, but there are in the model of Lara Croft.

First, Download the UnpackTRU 3.97 updated by Sephiroth99*

*The links are dead, so I have reuploaded them HERE*
I'm sorry but I can't provide the source code because I don't have it.

Open the bigfile in UnpackTRU and search for any Lara's outfit in the hashcode.txt . For exemple the jungle outfit: 0B21A47B

Click on EXPORT SELECTED and tic "All Sounds".
Now, all sounds are inside the unpackTRU folder. Just cut and paste them inside the "Towav" folder and click on "ConvertAll.bat" to convert all sounds into WAV

Scream sounds are all B_L_FLL_S
Thud sounds are all gore_smash_big

This is pretty cool, but one issue I ran into with this is that it doesn't name bones or textures correctly. Do I have to rename all of this manually by hand? Cause if so that really sucks...

  • Right, you have to rename it all.
  • No, not manually. Tools are available.

name Textures:

English/Multi6: hashcodes_en_multi.txt

Russian: hashcodes_ru.txt

To simplify the process of selecting textures from texture groups assigned to individual submeshes, I've written yet another program, TRUTexMan:

TRUTexMan1.15.zip

Source code in C#:
TRUTexMan1.15Src.zip

For more information, read the file readme.txt or this short tutorial.

rename Bones:
You can use my tool "XNALara / XPS" and "BoneDict" to rename the bones (to find the links, you have to use google because theForum guidelines re: XNA)
Copy the whole text in a text editor a save it as "BoneDict.txt" in the XPS root directory "XNALara_XPS".
Bones will be automatically renamed.
