Some bits for the suggestion box though more currents thoughts on How I would evolve the game rather than a wish list.

Character: After returning from Paititi Lara reaches out to Atlas to take him up on his offer of help in revitalizing the mansion. She spends some time in the company of high society with her aunt and uncle who try to pressure her into a more normal life but that’s just too boring for Lara. She does find she has a taste for the classier elements of high society if not necessarily their company though it is their company that brings out an incisive, sardonic but reserved wit.

Artifacts/Documents/Murals etc ….: I’d like to see these used to progress the main story, side quests and optional tombs. Basically, use clues found on these items to breadcrumb the story and don’t distinguish between the main story, side quest or optional content. We’re just following clues and give some weight to completing the story sets perhaps leading to some sort of post-game challenges/exploration.

Inventory: On PS4 R1 was healing in Rise and the herbal mixtures in Shadow. Perhaps they can further evolve this to be an inventory of usable items/weapons to manage. (Not toggling to a separate screen but more like a weapon wheel for items.) Items in hand do not take up space in the inventory so, for example, if you have a pistol in hand you can have another taking up a holster space or instead of having a gun at the ready you can choose to have a melee weapon.

Combat: As mentioned above I’d like to be able to change up the weapons at hand (on the d pad) to more than just the guns. Thinking about what I’ve seen some mention about the iron sights perhaps when we aim/ready a gun we don’t have iron sights but there is some weapon sway/less accuracy. When we zoom in we switch to iron sights if we are aiming a weapon or the aim/fire/alt fire becomes unarmed attacks/blocks if we are not.

I would like to see the duals return as an option perhaps triggered by some event on the anniversary of Roth’s death or one that is similar to the final showdown with Mathias. I think that methodology could be similar to the dual shot with the bow though instead of locking on to targets while zoomed we define the twin guns angles by hovering over the targets. Some non-lethal options would be nice too such as tasers/stun guns, tranq guns, chloroform etc.…

Also, some random/re-spawning encounters to keep us on our toes with mostly non-human enemies.

Croft Manor and Off-sites/camp sites: I would like to see Croft Manor return as a central staging area for Lara with access to all shops and all inventory. Also, perhaps a place for some min-games/challenges. When going to a given location we would choose a subset of said equipment including available outfits that would be available from hotel rooms/campsites.

General: More blending of combat, puzzles and platforming across encounters and less non-interactable cutscenes and more story telling within the story itself.

Skills: Fewer skills with greater impact on gameplay/the players experience playing the game. Upgradable skills preferably with experience gained by utilizing those skills unlocking dependent skills/tricks as upgrade levels are gained. I don't find it satisfying to get experience for everything. I'd rather the skills match my play style rather than matching my play style to the skills I choose.

Or the archaeologist on site could contact her about some artifacts they've unearthed that give clues to the next find.

The tools will be used in a specific type of soil (the same way the climable walls in the reboot have a different texture). She could uncover small pieces of a relic that need to be combined, and maybe the relic itself could be a riddle (a round relic consisting of concerting circles) and inside the relic could be a key to be used in order to emerge a lost city from the ground (or the sea).
These archaeologist reference ideas would be really cool.

Weapon attachments to be limited a bit like 4/5/AOD Beta

Not a whole bunch of mostly pointless stat boosts but a rare few attachments Lara can find, like a longer barrel for the shotgun so it gets more range or maybe compensators to make the Uzi's more accurate at a distance, limited, rare but meaningful upgrades instead of a bunch of boring stat boosts that barely make a difference.

Got the idea from the Shotgun Choke upgrade from the Reboot, it was one of the handful of upgrades that actually helped me noticeably without needing a dozen other upgrades that were basically the same upgrade again.

Maybe the fictional Grenade Launcher from TR2 could return with the drum it had in TR3 being an upgrade that actually functions and lets you fire multiple grenades without reloading.

If we're going the really not-taking-ourselves seriously route, maybe if the K2 Impactor returns it can get an upgrade that arcs the electricity to shock multiple people at once or the Rocket Launcher could get homing rockets, but this is going quite silly so it would feel a bit out of place in a more serious game. (Then again, Syphon Filter was some-what serious and it had a Sniper-taser that could set any enemy on fire and a melee finisher instant kill move in the last game which was literally just a groin kick.)

Maybe Lara could have her original Browning Hi-powers (Her pistols in all of the PS1 games.) at the start but can find the USP Match as an Upgrade. (Pistol in AOD,Legend, Underworld and Jolie movies.), it makes sense logically (USP match is basically better than the Hi-power in most ways due to one being a standard military pistol and the other a competitive sport gun chambered for a more powerful round.) and would be a nice little series reference.

Realism never mattered too much to me as long as the move seemed some-what logical.

Hence why I didn't mind it in Underworld but the Reboot's ilogical wall scramble was stupid, more so since the Reboot is "REALISTIC".

That wall jump is different though. The TRU one made her look like a frog. The one featured in the video is much better.

A Harpoon gun like the unused AOD Harpoon gun.

Where it would have been a mix of the TR2/3 Harpoon gun with underwater firing with the Laser sight/multiple ammo types of the Crossbow in Tomb Raider 4.
