Okay so I’m freaking out!

This trailer was uploaded an hour ago and it looks so good.

Looks great! Always loved the DoA games.
Team Ninja makes silky smooth animations as well.

Can't wait for more.

That's true. I only purchased the basic game on PS3.
Can't say I felt I missed out, but boy did Team Ninja milk the **** out of the game lol. If I remember correctly, that's how they sponsored the tourneys, though, so it's not all bad.

Apparently they removed the breast physics....

On a serious note, I like that they now show damage on characters! I hope they add a customization mode for the game...though I'm worried the game will be bare bones, so that they can milk everyone with DLC.

Hopefully they put the character focused music and more stages for this game. I really thought the music and stages in DoA5 were terrible. Coming after DOA4 it was a massive step backwards.

It looks cool (mechanically, I mean), but I don't get how they hope to sell this game without the "fan service". The franchise is already pretty niche as it is and a big part of the reason why it even has the following that it does IS because of the "fan service". Strip it away and it loses its identity and a large chunk of its already niche audience.

Oh, wow.

I was not expecting to even hear about DOA6 until in two or three years, given where the franchise was headed as of Last Round.

This looks fantastic. Hopefully, they can stick to the original plan for DOA5 and make a game that stays true to the "I'm a Fighter" tagline -- this certainly looks closer to it than later iterations of the game before.

EDIT: “We wanted to make a more cool and mature Dead or Alive this time, and to that end we made a conscious decision to make the characters less sexualized."

Yes, please. I mean, they said this about DOA5 as well, until they realized that wouldn't make them as much money -- so I bloody hope the sentiment really sticks, this time around.

I mean, they only backtracked on themselves because the Japanese fanbase freaked the **** out, really. So, let's hope they can ****ing keep it together for the rest of us.

No, they would never do that: videogame companies stay loyal to their fanbases. I can't think of a single videogame series that has just thrown away it's identity

Seriously, in DoA 5 the player can choose the outfits, making the character as sexualized or unsexualized to their hearts content, and they can choose whether the jiggle effects are off, realistic, unrealistic or caused by the shaking of the controller. That is what I call respecting the choice of the player. Now however, from the sound of it they are starting to make the choices for us. And to that I say 'suck eggs, Team Ninja'. I hate to be quoting Fox News, but why do you hate freedom?
