Maybe have the option to turn the white ledge stuff off, can keep people on both sides of the equation happy, like on Underworld where you could opt to use the hints or find it out yourself.

I'm pretty sure they couldn't get rid of white ledges anyway, it seems like it's what makes Lara actually climb and grab ledges, as evident in LAU.
