Thames Wharf:

A look at the cathedral section of an early but very stripped down Thames Wharf.

Looks a lot like what they were showcasing here (from 2:29)

My theory is that this level was initially supposed to be all about running across rooftops, with occasional diving into ground areas. And that the "hub" structure of the final level was concieved later after some revisions.

Here you can see Madubu Gorge in a more conceptual state.

Now I like to find out if there's a beta version that Lara wears the white outfit in Antarctica.

That's because they were testing out the animation before they would apply Lara to use the kayak into final version of the game. I by the way do love the sound fx into the Area 51 public demo for Tomb Raider 3. it really sounds a whole lot better than the one in the final version. I even there's a way how to apply that into the final version of the game for the pc if that's possible.

I have an old TR3 demo that was given out by Pizza Hut (I think?) in the late 90's so I wonder how much different that is compared to the full retail version? I'll have to go dig it up because I have it stashed away in a box with all my old PS1 stuff.

The demo you mentioned is likely one out of the two known public demos for PS1. The build you see in this thread is completely different, earlier and was demoed at the ECTS 1998 event.

Cheers.
