And for me it's not just a surface thing. Suddenly being thrown into Rise with this totally new, uncanny valley, Camilla-but-not-Camilla Lara model with enormous hair actually really broke the flow of the reboot's story arc for me. It made Rise feel oddly disconnected (plus Jonah's dramatic redesign). I dunno. I like the reboot series but I think abandoning the look of the DE was a huge misstep.

So I guess they used the DE model in ROTTR alpha in the time they were working on the og Rise model, interesting. I know, I noticed that since I played the game two years ago but I never brought it up.

I was glad they change it. DE Lara was nice, but not great at all (again, for me). I think the shape of the eyes is the problem in the DE model. |

Lara has always reminded me of Michelle Chang from Tekken. Anyone else agree?

But it was VERY apparent in the brows/eyes. Idc what y'all say but DE model was somewhat the closest we got to a turning point lookingish Lara (but not really) And her hair in TR2013/DE style was ****ing excellent. I don't know where it went wrong in Rise onwards. The hair in the DE version looked a bit off on her head, but at least it made her look like she HAD a forehead. I'm just...*sigh* ![]() For Reboot Faces I have a scale of Camilla to Lara Turning Point - Definitive Edition - 2013 - Shadow - Rise.

Also, it sucks that both trailers ended up being way darker and more intriguing than the final product.
