I don't think it was all that 'cliche'. Classic Lara had cliche moments far more than once.

Some of the dialog was cringe worthy. I can imagine myself banging my head to a wall next year. other than that it looked better than I expected.

One cliche I loved though: "I hate tombs". It was just...great.

The whole "You're a Croft" peptalk I could go without, but it isn't bad.
