A first patch is ready and waiting for approval and certification.

Perhaps they believe that saying they are working on a patch implies their game is broken. So to keep it "clean and pretty" for the general public, they remain silent.

I don't mind as long as we get the patch, to be honest

Some reviewers revealed they were told there would be patches. Different developers (from our community) have said there would be patches. We won't get any more than that.

Pretending that their work is flawless is unprofessional too. Like, they aren't Gods, they can make mistakes, it's all fine, the most important thing is to admit it. No one if perfect, not even devs. But they love to leave the players in the dark, I know.
