Why don’t the developers even say anything for so long, they should tell you what’s going on. So that people would have certainty and everything would be fine.

They certainly were quick to give a statement when the grifters were bitching about the posters. It's been almost 6 months with broken waterfalls, transparency bugs, flashing milky water, broken blood effects and they stay quiet. Perhaps regular folks weren't their target audience when crafting up these remasters.

Grifting works if there's a threat of potential outrage, like there was with the posters. It worked perfectly in the end, but because there's never absolute transparency in how game developers communicate with the public, we'll never know the full extent of just how perfectly it worked.
The only potential for some moderate internet outrage with patch 4 would be in the scenario where they would sit on the perfect final patch, but couldn't release it for some undisclosed reason.
