I'm working on improved Dutch/Nederlands for all three games. The translation is also way off and weird in most of the cases.

Sadly Japanese mostly mismatches the original strings and level names from the PS1 games. Alot more direct english-jpn loanwords as opposed to native words they used to use. In one of the manor TR1 lines she explains a running jump setup will make Lara dress in drag oops

The Swedish translation is, uh, interesting. Some of the dialogue translations are quite clever, still others are unnaturally literal/direct, there are lots of grammatical/stylistic errors - they even left "St. Francis Folly" and "Atlantean Scion" entirely untranslated in the subtitles for the Natla Technologies FMV.
The level itself is translated as "St. Francis dårskap," which is "folly" in the sense of "foolishness," similar to how it's been translated in other languages. I'd use "fåfänga" instead, which actually conveys the same meaning of "structure built for aesthetics" that the original intended, but is also the word for "vanity" and has the connotation of (arrogant) stupidity, thus. I'll have to get to work on my own translation, even if nobody's going to be using it. Probably not even me. Last edited by tomblover; 17-02-24 at 01:20. |

Since this is a feedback post, could I ask for a 4:3 mode to be implemented? At least for the original graphics?
