Question. Which stories influenced Tomb Raider Chronicles?
I'm drawing blanks on this. I feel like the Rome levels aren't really tied to Roman Mythology as much as they are to the city's architectural history.
Russia levels are more based on the story of K-19. Ireland levels I'm also drawing blanks on. Not so much tied to the Irish mythological cycle. More folklore but I'm not sure of the source. New York levels look more based on comics of the time, in particular Barry Windsor Smith and Jim Lee's art styles and how they drew technology. |

I think VCI was pretty openly insprired by The Matrix. It came out the year earlier and was all the rage.
Btw, I'm liking these threads you've made to discuss TR's inspirations |

If i recall correctly, the irish level was based on Tintin and the Black Island. It was confirmed by Andy Sandham somewhere on internet.

That, and a touch of Sleepy Hollow by Tim Burton, which was released the year before. The mill is a direct inspiration from it, and in the game files we find an unused scarecrow object, inspired by the one in the film.
