No Achievements on Switch
Hi there!
Please help this post get as many views as possible. As cool as the I-III collection has been, it was advertised that it would get achievements across all platforms, with no mention of an exception for the Switch. As well as I know that Nintendo offers no native achievements, many games (even first party ones) have implemented in-game interfaces for achievement tracking. I feel cheated that aspyr has advertised this as such without having saber implement the feature across all platforms. So please help this gain traction so that they could introduce a new menu with a list of achievements. It doesn't even need to be a fancy visual interface, just a list with names, descriptions and a checkbox to indicate whether or not the achievement was won, maybe also a counter to know how far we're along. Since achievements have already been implemented, such a thing shouldn't take way too much time to implement since it's mostly a UI feature. If you feel as frustrated about it as I am, please leave a comment below expressing your concern, maybe we could make a change. Thank you for reading! |

Really?! That's wild. I ordered the Collector's Edition with a Switch copy of the game so this post has me slightly concerned... What's the harm in implementing achievements?
They should be there! |

I would have hoped that they had some in-game interface for Switch so we can get achivements there as well but as expected it was just decided that there wasnt gonna be any.
I would like for this to be added but knowing Nintendo it probably wont ever happen. |

I join the petition. I hope they add it, especially if it was announced "for all platforms".
And I take this opportunity to ask that it also be added to the IV-V-VI trilogy. I have pre-ordered it digitally (although I will also buy the deluxe edition if they release it), to support the project and the developers because I appreciate the work. I did it this way with the first trilogy, and i didn't mind paying twice to claim the classics, but I also believe that we all deserve the same products regardless of the platform we have. |

That would be great!
It's true that the Switch doesn't have native achievement support, but there are quite a few games that do have it built in and it would be a great addition. The Switch version is the console version I've played the most. |

I can see why most people would miss them, but they can also be felt as a burden if you have completionist’s mindset. I myself am of two minds when it comes to achievements. Sometimes I miss them on Switch, other times I’m glad they’re not there.
I am not entirely sure achievements were promised for all platforms either. I seem to recall the statement came with an asterisk. Not that that would matter too much. I hope your petition will get a lot of support anyway |

I was able to complete all the achievements on my brother's PS5. It was a mix of fun and stress That may be the key... In any case, if it is not so complicated to add it in the way the creator of the thread indicates, and as has been done in other games, they could do it. I hope they do |

Given the choice, I always prefer achievements that are internal to games, as opposed to achievements that are bound to some platform. |

I don't have a Switch though I do have a DS maybe Nintendo care more about the games and the experience the players will have more than virtual silverware.

The thing is, an in-game interface isn't up to Nintendo but aspyr and Saber (and maybe Crystal).
