Unable to Progress to Antarctica?

Hiya,

I've been replaying TR3 on PS1 (PAL) and I've encountered a glitch. Googling it didn't lead me anywhere, so wondered if anybody here has come across it before and could help me out?

I played in the suggested order (Nevada, South Pacific and then London). Mainly replaying so I can get all the secrets, though I got the invisible wall bug in Lud's Gate a few days ago and couldn't access the UPV for the underwater maze, so I had to use the level skip cheat (had luckily nabbed all the secrets by that point).

So I completed City and got to the Select Adventure screen to go to Antarctica, that was my last save. But I wanted to finish Lud's Gate 'cause it's admittedly the only level I've never fully completed (have always skipped the underwater maze 'cause it drove me nuts lol).

Anyway, I reloaded Lud's Gate, finished the level for the first time (woo) and saved. Completed City and expected to head to Antarctica afterwards.

Only the City level finished, I was taken to a London loading screen, and then was back at Thames Wharf? When I looked at my saves, the order of my playthrough has been jumbled up (it's ordered as if I played South Pacific, London and finally Nevada). I tried loading Area 51 (the last level, apparently) and used the level skip cheat to then hopefully get to Antarctica, but it then just takes me back to Coastal Village.

Seems like I'm trapped in a loop with no way to progress? lol anyone encountered this before?

For the PlayStation version I suggest you don't return to any level after completing it, at least until you've reached the final location: Antarctica.
