The perfect Resident Evil movie would be one that is 100% fan service yet is also enjoyable on it's own merit to people who aren't Resident Evil fans .
And one way to do that is to make it bad on purpose for comedic reasons, but played super serious. Like 'The Room' but with Zombies and lines inpired by/taken from the old games. Or more closely resembling the way Garth Marenghi's Darkplace was made https://youtu.be/PPlD1TRx6zM Ironically they were closer to making a worthwhile RE movie with the Milla Jovovich movies. For their many flaws, at least the rediculous overblown action gave them their own identity. Like why would you want a movie about RE1&2 when you could instead just.....play RE1 and 2 (which is more enjoyment than any movie could give you) What's the point of a movie if it's not going to offer something unique to the franchise? |

Is anyone hoping for hunters to be in the movie? I'm pretty sure the director mentioned that there are creatures we still haven't seen yet, and considering the most iconic ones from RE2 are present (dogs, lickers and G Birkin), I can see the hunters being a special surprise in the Spencer Mansion scenes.
Also, I think it'd make the most sense to keep them under wraps, they are such iconic enemies and it would be the first time we see them in the live action movies, I imagine they wouldn't want to spoil the surprise in a trailer. |

Over all I liked the trailer for Welcome to Racoon City and I am intrigued to see how it turns out. It’s a shame the CGI is so dodgy but perhaps this was from an earlier version. (Although the affects in the first film were a bit dodgy if I remember correctly) looking forward to seeing it!

I mean... the headset is in the thumbnail and the VR gets mentioned 6 seconds in. I didn't notice tbh.

I just watched the international video for Welcome To Raccoon City it's a lot better than the first video, that Zombie dog still needs a lot of work to look less CGI the Zombie dogs in the Milla Jovovich movies look a lot better than the Welcome To Raccoon City Zombie dog.

Ada is in the movie, Lily Gao is playing her. They gotta keep something back, between those 2 trailers we've seen a good chunk of stuff already
