By the way here I read some posts about DLCs and what I hope for is something similar to RE7 dlcs they were great! So like a puzzle only dlc like the one we got with Marguerite and we had to escape the bedroom Then some backstory like the one in which we played as Zoey and withnessed Eveline arrival at the house (just imagine something like that in Castle Dimitrescu or House Beneviento, so much potential! or one in which we play as Elena as watch as the village gets invaded by lycans) then some little ones that are minigames, like the card game 21 with Lucas and the one we had to escape the basement and survive the night. maybe even something over the top lol (not canon of course) like the one in which it was Jack's birthday and we had to bring him food as Mia just imagine something like that with Lady D lol (from daddy to mommy lol) A pack of DLC like this would be so fun to play with lots of different experiences that would also expand the lore of the Village and its lords Last edited by Grizzly Bear; 05-01-22 at 00:11. |

It's finally coming! and it looks amazing. How the time has passed by so quickly, It's insane. The dedication to this project alone deserves some reward from Capcom, perhaps a job? Seeing as the people who officially HD remastered 4 did a pitiful job. Yet this godly mod was done by 2-3 people. |

Looks phenomenal. It's a shame it won't come to consoles.

Nah Capcom don't really care about mods, if anything they encourage them! They did C&D the fanmade RE2 remake that was around before the official one was announced but they invited the people who worked on that to their offices for a tour so even when they're shutting stuff down they're nice about it unlike Take Two You can read about it HERE, Capcom actually supported them in starting their own studio and then we got Daymare from them. They even took feedback from the fan team to use when they did RE2make and credited them in the game for it.

Take 2 has valid reasons to hate the modders though.
The whole Hot Coffee mod damaged take 2(made them lose millions of dollars) and managed to ban all versions of GTA SA for some retailers.(Which forced them to make some newer versions for their game) Plus, modders are the ones that create all those cheating tools in GTA online.(Modders are always the ones that kinda ruin online games. EA Battlefront 2 is unplayable these days due to 1 HP hack that a modder made) Last edited by dg1995; 28-01-22 at 22:59. |

Yeah, no. Not when they literally have a policy on their website saying mods for single player use are alright with them. Online hacks aren't mods, they're...well hacks, any company will go after them and fans will support that. When they start issuing takedown notices for something as simple as a savefile for a single player only game after having an open policy on single player modding for years they've gone over the line they drew themselves for seemingly no other reason than spite. And this is all under a revised version of that policy, before they went nuts with the takedowns they were a lot more open about what could and couldn't be modded in their games. That's why they're taking a lot of heat for their attitude towards mods lately, they moved the line which is their right of course but then ignored it themselves with the takedowns they issued, so there's no consistency or reason to it after literal decades of acceptance on it.

I'd love to see the Sourcenext PC version of OG RE2 ported to modern consoles. The sharp textures and high quality FMVs look incredibly well.
