That's not strictly true; Core tutorialised shooting metal objects with the lock you break earlier in the level, they were careful to draw attention to the bell with the flyby that triggers when you enter the area that very deliberately focuses on it, and they put a lasersight and revolver ammo right beneath it.

Anyone who played TR2 before playing Chronicles should remember shooting bells being a mechanic in TR as well.

Though I admit, it is a little clunky from a gameplay perspective. The fact Core felt the need to include a flyby to focus on the bell and place the objects needed to use it within a couple of meters betrays that players wouldn't naturally think they could interact with it.

I like how they allude to that bell with flybys, yet did nothing to indicate that ****ing boulder in The Last Revelation had to be shot in order to fall and make a hole in the ground .

Tomb Raider Chronicles is my 3rd favorite TR game, I like it a bit more than TR III & TR IV, as I have many good memories of it. It's fun and you're not just stuck in Egypt all the time solving illogical puzzles.

No, according to official book "20 Years of Tomb Raider" the world premiere of TR5 was on 24th November 2000, so the anniversary will be tomorrow! <3

Weird, it was released the 17th on PlayStation in Europe, I only heard of the 24th for the PS version in the USA
I just saw that on the French and English version of Wikipedia and in the French website Jeux Vidéo.com

After 20 years, the Ireland levels are still among the greatest the series has ever seen.
