There's plenty of time... Spring/Summer in the UK would be May onwards really. I suspect they'll have a 3-month shoot schedule with 6 months for CGI/editing/soundtrack with the edits done by January...

There could even be time for screentests and reshoots.

They aint moving the release date my loves.

Yamatai wasn't a japanese island like in the game, it's located across Japan so technically it isn't japanese.

There isn't too much CGI in the movie when you look at it.

According to VFX express there is 912 shots with CGI this isn't that much in a movie who last almost two hour.

^^ It's just TRF panicking for anything that could potentially have a negative effect on TR.

Spring is considered to start in March in the UK, presuming that's where they start filming. If they're filming anywhere else, like Norway, as rumoured, summer would be best for the longer daylight hours, wouldn't it? I don't see a problem with keeping to schedule, if by summer, it means early summer.

Well the first film started filming in January 2017 and released March 2018, giving them a little over a year, which is reasonable for a film of that size.

At the earliest the sequels filming in March, only a year before the film is supposed to premiere. Seem's maybe possible but if they don't start until summer (May) I can't really see it coming out on time. They would need about 5-7 months to film, and time to accommodate for editing and promoting the film.

If they rush the release so we get another botched trailer #1 with bad VFX.

Fool me twice. Remember that marketing for a blockbuster needs to start at least 6 months out to release and the film sounds like it'll still be filming during that duration.

We know thanks to a friend what scenes Sophie appears in the movie including the deleted ones with the context

So drum rolls...

Something similar at the script was supposed to happen

I also think this is the moment when Lara is relaxing and listen some music before being called by Sophie.
