There's one thing I don't understand though. Spoiler:
At the end of Season 1, El says "good bye" to Mike before fighting the monster and disappearing with it. It's obvious she had the intention of sacrificing herself and disappear because she felt guilty or something. However in S2, whens he "wakes up" in the upside down, she's all scared and searching for Mike. It invalidate the purpose of her sacrifice. It felt odd. |

I binged watch Season 2 this weekend, and of course this season was fantastic like the first one. All of the stuff that made Season 1 great were also strong in this season. As Isaac mentioned, this is one of the few times a second season was able to match my expectations for a sequel season. Considering how big the hype was for this season, I think the producers went above expectations and did a solid job. My only complaints were:
- I would've loved to see more backstory and scenes revolving around the Upside Down. The visuals for Will's Upside Down visions were absolutely stunning, especially the Upside Down version of the Arcade. But there's a lot of potential for future seasons with the Upside Down, so this complaint is not really a big deal. - As others mentioned, the episode with Eleven in Chicago with Kali and the other gang members was pretty random. Imagine if you watched this episode after a few days break from the previous episode. It's almost like they were advertising a plot for spinoff series. I don't really hate this episode, but it didn't offer much to advance the plot other than that Eleven was able to find the strength needed to close the Gate to the Upside Down. - Nancy and Jonathan's characters felt very underwhelming. I really can't pinpoint why I feel this way, but it felt like they weren't represented much this season. |

So, tomorrow I shall be meeting Millie Bobby Brown aka Eleven
ADD: She was totally adorable, very energetic yet professional. Very mature for thirteen years old. Last edited by Admles; 12-11-17 at 10:19. |

I really enjoyed Season 2. Although I was very saddened by Bob's death. I really thought Will's mom should catch a break.
I get how some people might have thought the "Sister" episode was random, but I think it was important for Elle to have a choice. She hasn't ever really been free to make a choice. She's always been trapped because of who she was. |

So I have just finished watching S2. I had to stop half way through E8 at a certain scene, which legit left me sobbing. Took me a couple of minutes before going back in. I really enjoyed this season and of course it leaves you wanting more. As much as I want to know more about the upside down, too much of an explanation too soon could spoil it. The show thrives on the mystery of it all.

Just finished season 2 but I still think some thing haven't been clarified:
- Was it ever explained where the monster in season 1 came from? What was it after? Did it die or disappear after season 1? - So far we've learned that baby demogorgons are laid inside the monster's victims and come out of the victim's mouth as slugs. During season 1 El saw the monster eating a large egg in that black dimension. Hooper also comes across a large hatched egg in the upside down world. What's up with these large eggs? Every character in the story just turns a blind eye to them. - At the end of season 1 Hopper gets in the government car of the men in black, does this mean he is working with these shady people now? All in all I didn't find any explanation or closure to the above in season 2, did I miss something? |

I'm sure at one point Hopper said something about keeping quiet / turning a blind eye to all the stuff that was going on as long as there were no problems caused in his town. I assumed this was linked to him getting into the car at the end of season one.

The New Government People are trying to do better than the Evil Now Dead Government People. Hopper and everyone else just want it to end, so yes, Hopper is working with them so they'll help Will. |

One of my favorite shows. The casting is full of talent and the soundtrack is amazing. Every season ends so fast... I look forward to the 3rd.
