The Lion King (2019)
As everybody is aware, Disney has been remaking the 1994 film, The Lion King, in 3D. Today, the trailer for it dropped.
It looks to be shot-for-shot remade from the 1994 film. Nevertheless, some things have apparently been changed - Be Prepared will reportedly be absent in the film, and the hyenas have been renamed from Banzai and Ed to Azizi and Kumari. The film is due to come out July 19, 2019, which is the 25th anniversary of the original film. Last edited by ggctuk; 10-04-19 at 12:17. |

Can’t wait to bawl my eyes out at the realistic Mufasa’s death scene like I do every time I watch the animated film *preorders tissues*

Whoh, i'm blown away by how true to the original it's looking to be.
In an ideal world everyone would be back Jeremy Irons, Rowan Atkinson, Matthew Broderick etc. But that's looking unlikley. Nice to have the most significant voice in the film by far back though. Really not too fussed about the names changes tbh, Banzai and Ed aren't the most African sounding names in the world after all. |

When the Lion King was back in theatres here in 3D I took my little sister with me to see it and thank god for those 3D glasses bc I was totally crying hahaha I kept telling myself “don’t cry.. do not cry.. do not cry” and then Simba gets to the point of “Dad.. wake up.. we gotta go home.. Help!! Somebody!!” OH MY GOD EVEN THINKING ABOUT IT I WANT TO CRY hahahahaha Anyway, I was silently crying behind my 3D glasses and my sister was totally unphased hahaha |

I had the chiiiiillls!
I've read though that 'Be prepared' might be missing in this adaptation... I'm a bit bummed because I love the song. With Aladdin and Lion King back to back, we're getting served! Last edited by Isaac; 23-11-18 at 05:51. |

Disney is ruling the movies these days.
The trailer gave me goosebumps and looks to be outstanding. Can't wait to see the stampede scene Aladdin, Lion King, Toy Story 4, Mulan, Avengers 4 all coming in 2019 one movie after the other. I am sure Disney will own the to 5 worldwide for 2019 Saw Ralph Breaks the Internet yesterday and it was so awesome; full of creativity and originality; watching it again tomorrow |

I have no interest to see this movie to be honest It's another cashgrab for Disney. I don't care if the film is a part of my childhood if I want to see the Lion King well I watch the animated version and that's all.
The featuring Beyoncé made me sick I don't like this singer at all... Wake me up when something new will happen Last edited by Ellioft; 23-11-18 at 11:30. |

But... Why? It seems pretty much like a CG version of the animated original...
