It's kind of weird there seems to be no shot of the statue from behind. Especially since Ed Perkins already confirmed it looks pretty much like Brenoch Adam's art for the Live Experience, with the braid and more classic-looking backpack.

Oh God no! What are you saying!? They were good in the context of 2013 which was supposed to show a Lara Croft that is not quite Lara Croft yet and is young, and rebellious. But now? after all of her adventures? No thanks!! I would be incredibly angry, mad and disgusted if they brought them back simply bc they were never part of Lara Croft's design and adding them is only going to make Lara more different and divergent from her previous incarnations so it is definitely a big NO and fortunately it seems the developers agree with me and share the exact same vision.

I think it is time we stop trying oh so desperately to try and shove in ideas that definitely don't belong in TR just bc of the lolz or out of boredom or innocent wonder. It is inexcusable we are way past that early 2000's phase of experimentation and pondering with bad ideas.

Too late now, they've hidden her away already until the event opens in April. I have no idea why no one thought to take a pic of her back view, it's what I'd have done. Unless CD just aren't showing them for some reason?

Small hoop earrings is nothing that will make or break Lara. It fit her, like earrings isn’t rebellious or none of the sort. She just had earrings in lol. Like Lara can’t wear earrings now? It’s that bad. And also the developers didn’t have that vision, they just forgot to add them back into her model. Hence why they are on most of the comic covers. If small little earrings have you that upset and disgusted, I wonder how you feel about the necklace? But yet some of you still want Lara to be dressed like it’s 1996? Right? But earrings are 2000? When so many people have they ears pierced. Like soon as some of us want little small details added or something different some of y’all freak out. We are in 2022, welcome some small changes jeez.

No more "small" changes please. We've had enough. (That is no small change though, read below)

I never said that I wanted Lara to dress like it's 1996, stop putting words in people's mouth. The statue from the Live Experience is magnificent and she looks perfectly modern without losing any of the essence of Lara Croft. Having earrings would indeed lose the essence of Lara Croft and further dilute the concept of who she is, what she wears and how she looks etc. which is counter productive

I love the necklace and it has naturally progressed with the character into the future. Her necklace even has value since it was Lara's first find. Oh but not her earrings. Never in the past has Lara been seen with earrings and those are supposed to be adventures after the reboot games so YES having earrings would further contradict Lara's character and lose that classic essence so definitely NO I do NOT want them and it would be a mistake and Crystal does know this fortunately. Destiny didn't want the earrings in Lara bc they don't belong in Lara's model or character it is why fortunately Life found it's way of making sure they weren't added back and obviously of all the many employees working at both CD and EM and you're telling me they "forgot" the earrings? that was just another excuse just like when they once said when asked about the Dual Pistols absence in Rise: "Ohhh but the technology isn't ready yet". Just another lame excuse.

I think we are making assumptions, because the statue is just done for the Live Experience. This, also, is set (if you wanna chronologically order) between Origin and Clasic timeline, thus why she's wearing the necklace and the rest of elements are her signature thinguies. I would say, at best, this would be something that could appear during the Netflix Animated series.
But bare in mind that the upcoming main tittle is set AFTER all of this, merging both timelines, so well could be that Lara's upcoming model looks absolutely nothing like this. Wich, to be completely honest, I would love to, because the statue looks amazing, but still holds on too much to the nostalgia for me to like. I absolutely love what I see, but I would like a refined and newer look based on that.

There are little tweaks I'd of liked to see here and there. I'd like her belt to actually sit a bit higher on her shorts to separate them for her tank top and I'd of preferred a single leg strap on each leg.
