A bit of longevity wouldn't have gone amiss, that's for sure. A New Game+ mode would've done that, or some proper DLC. Given how there's big empty chunks on the map of the island, I thought they were going to fill one or two of them in with mini stories or something. But no, Crystal's world-famous ineptitude at DLC shone brightly once more.

I was reading all the interviews before the reboot release. Oh my gosh, how many lies they have said.

And also, what you can see in a screenshot is not always true. Remember the screenshot from the Night Hub with Lara jumping towards the big cottage? And remember the high tower with the big statue on the top of it? Yes, I remember that too, but it's missing in the game. I also remember discussing the possibilities of exploring and climbing that tower and hidden paths etc. with LF25 whole nights...and holy crap the tower didn't make it into the game, no hidden paths, no alternative paths...lol the game is linear as hell.

I really am looking forward the sequel, I can't wait to see a screenshot or hear some nice info, I still have faith they can produce perfect "Tomb Raider" game, but I'm so not going to believe anything till I play it...

Ok, I just had to vent it all...what a relief.
I remember that. But I'm going to buy the next Tomb Raider game regardless. They put a lot into the first game and it really came together nicely.

Crystal Dynamics is the kind of developers who are willing to shake things up, they had new ideas and they also are disruptive, which is good. For TR anyway.

I did a re play recently and I was surprised how many enemies I came up against going back to the hubs after story completion. Shanty Town was soo quiet and then I could hear a dude chanting/praying away yet I couldn't see where he was and it turned out there a few of them. Again, I was just minding my own business, when I could hear a couple of Solarii talking away and they spotted me and then I was being shot at and taken completely off guard. It happened a few times like that. I even lost a couple of men when I decided to try run in the opposite direction after hearing them. The place was so much better to go though like that compared to masses of men all at once. Either they'd respawned or I missed them the first time, but I felt on alert mode after the first encounter, it kinda had a classic feel to it. Crystal D need to do the combat more like this in TR10/2. You're in an area, just looking around and enemies aren't introduced, you can just hear them, you're not forced into a fight unless you're daft enough to get spotted or something. It feels so much more tense and even believable than: Lara arrives, 30+ men pop out and start shooting.

I really feel a name reveal for TR10 would be nice real soon.

Like I said, I'm very excited for the sequel, the reboot was very good game (not a good TR game) and I'm definitely going to buy the sequel, but I'll be very cautious about what they promise for the sequel.

My assassins of logic are hunting you down as we speak
Why bother being cautious if you say you're definitely going to buy it?

Maybe next time they won't do so many interviews but the game was pretty much what you would expect.

Yes, this. I'm going to buy it, because I buy every TR game. I have them all so I'll have the next one and the next one and the next one too, but I'm not going to get my hopes up like I did before the reboot.

^ ^ I genuinely wonder what's the point, if the only thing the game has from TR are words "Tomb Raider" on the cover? You say that you have all TRs. Right. But this one doesn't even stand up for the series standards...
