I don't know if this has already been mentioned/recognised by players, but I found out that those therapy recordings are unlocked after Lara finds out Ana is with Trinity, specifically the scene where she jumps in the water to hide from the mercenaries (after the Ana smokin cutscene)

^I remember reading that they were unlocked somehow during the game, but we didn't knew about the specific moment afaik. Thanks for the info!

They were suppose to be secret things that you find by exploring I believe.
Like I discovered recently, you can also listen to Lara read the plaques she finds throughout the games. I thought she would be reading a bit of it, but it's like paragraphs.

It seems poorly implemented however they were going to do it. Personally, I think it should have been a video log... maybe CCTV camera footage with one shown at the beginning of the game before the main menu to set the tone of the game and then the rest unlockable with progress and you're told.
