I played Counter Strike : Global Offensive yesterday.

I played with Dual Berettas and I was the last one. And the whole team was like
"Yeah, Tomb Raider!"

Most People know Tomb Raider/Lara Croft because of the Dual Pistols, and not because of a dumb pickaxe or a bow

Well it's no rocket sience is it ? Old Lara is too iconic and amazingly established , But you can't compare the 'recognise-ability' an established iteration that's been around for like 17 years with tons of media based on it (games , tv series , movies , comics) with an iteration that made its debut only 3 years ago with nothing but two games and a few comics .

Not saying that if New Lara stayed around as long as Old Lara did people will forget the latter and first think of the former if they saw the name 'Lara Croft' , perhaps the young generation that started the franchise with TR2013 have a bigger chance to automatically associate Lara Croft with new Lara , but maybe the new tools might also become a trademark of Lara besides the duals , backpack etc . Personally , I adore the bow as a weapon in-game but I think it's slightly overused as a signature of Lara , the axe -however- is a very nice symbol of her , and whenever I see one (wether make-shift , ice axe etc) Lara immediately sprints to my mind .

Lara with pickaxe and bow is only around for 3 years while Old Lara is around for 20 years (+90' gaming years).

I think, You certainly do it on purpose but I have to say you don't look too smart after saying those bs stuffs :\

Ahhh that secret room is simply amazing! Even after all these years, never once did I get tired of getting into that pool to swim with those beautiful creatures One of the nicest additions ever implemented.
