I'm only wondering if the audio is still in XA. Watching videos is enough of an experience for me of this beta.

Are the levels in this beta in a format close enough to the final game that assets can be extracted from them with TRLE tools?

XA was probably decided on from the start. Core upgraded the engine in a number of ways for III.

Nope. ECTS build (dated a month prior) still used CDDA.

I think it’s because if they had not then the London section would have been 5 levels long, more than any other section of the game.

Personally I would have kept All Hallows’ and then cut half of Lud’s gate or something. Maybe Sophia and Lara could have met at the beginning of Luds Gate in a cutscene (somehow, like rework the story a bit) and they could have stuck the fight at the end. I think they only split the levels because they could not do a cut scene and have Luds Gate continue with the boss fight.

whatever their reason was, All Hallows need to be there somehow.
