I think it’s because if they had not then the London section would have been 5 levels long, more than any other section of the game.
Personally I would have kept All Hallows’ and then cut half of Lud’s gate or something. Maybe Sophia and Lara could have met at the beginning of Luds Gate in a cutscene (somehow, like rework the story a bit) and they could have stuck the fight at the end. I think they only split the levels because they could not do a cut scene and have Luds Gate continue with the boss fight. |
