You probably didn't understood what I meant or it was just me writing the post in a wrong way
What I meant was that the animation is literally the same in both TR2 and TR3 HSC, her legs has an odd movement because the cutscene doesn't let you see them, you would see them going threw the floor without flyby cameras ![]() If you don't believe that, well... there are 2 options, one is to compare Gh0st and my video together, second would be looking yourself at both the files ![]()

Yeah it does look a bit like she's supposed to be getting up from bed or something, instead of getting up from the floor, but the camera in the TR2 cutscene does indeed crop that part out

Also, the Nevada Desert video is coming tonight. Edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIHOdqGQGuM Check the description for a list of differences. The level was a bit of pain to finish, due to the electricity staying on and Lara being unable to open the doors (because the lever isn't directly above a straight surface). Therefore, I got rid of the electricity manually and moved the lever to an appropriate spot. I could have also ended the level without the quadbike, but there's no fun in that. ![]() Last edited by jonathanrij; 16-01-19 at 23:27. |

Also with Nevada Desert you don’t get to see the planes swooping by compared to the final version
Also I can’t believe there is some brightness in the beta compared to the final where the game is dark

Really interesting thread here. I'm glad we know what CUT10 is now
![]() I took the time to make videos of some inaccessible areas in this beta, those being the door in Lara's Home and most of High Security Compound. High Security Compound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XnaJDaSYtc Lara's Home door: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErLt6Tyqhlw As you can see there are some interesting differences in the Compound, most notably the textures and the different death animation for the gun guard. The problem with this level is a game crash that always occurs when passing a certain spot in the level, which I was able to get around with some precision. And the two double doors don't open. There's also a randomly placed level end trigger in the "kitchen" area. It's also clear the level was supposed to end when entering the "storage" area instead of the truck like the retail build. For Lara's home it seems to be the exact same as Tomb Raider 2. I believe the geometry behind the glass is slightly different but it's way too dark to tell and everytime I tried hacking Lara behind the glass the game crashed.

Well the Compound looks like a mess, obviously, it's interesting though that the cutscene after it seems finished at the same time? Funny how they also plastered temporary texture all over everything while working on geometry...
The cellar in Home is obviously unfinished and it's probably just the same rooms as TR2 with textures removed/replaced for temp ones... |

Looks like they build the entire level before doing the textures. I feel bad for whoever had to go back to all those rooms and fix that hot mess.
