I get what you mean. The prices are getting ridicules. Recall buying that last Sideshow premium format figure Lara for $350 think it’s crazy but at least that’s 1/4 scale. Now it’s the going price for smaller scale statues when 1/4 scale is over 1K.

I think that in person this Lara would probably look much better. Not sure if 1.5K better but still a nice piece.

Other pics from the statue available.

The mouth still looks kind of weird (who the hell decided to give a hand-printed statue teeth at the end?) but other details seem to be on point, IMO.

Are those supposed to be freckles or splotches of dirt on her arm?

They look like liver spots.

Still looks bad, that paint looks really messy and nowhere near as solid as the original. The base is definitely not like the original as it was much bigger in the video Weta made with the statue.

For $1500 this looks bad. The nose for example is completely different from the original they showed off.

That’s not a $1500 (plus shipping) face. The rest looks fine but come on.

Glad I didn’t fork anything over for it. I’d be trying to lie to myself to enjoy what they did to her face.

Original was much rounder and shorter, a bit wider. The lips were much fuller on the original too.

It's a scam, the level of quality control I'd expect from a $1500 statue does not exist here.

Look at her hair, much fuller on the left, much thinner on the right. The fringe stands out way more then before.

I don't know how a USD 1500 statue is supposed to look, but I like this one a lot.

I think lighting and the angle and distance from certain photos make it seem not as a great as it should. But maybe it's just **** and I can't see it, so...
