It's going to happen more often. Especially once Doom and Elder Scrolls goes completely exclusive. Microsoft is opening themselves up to one hell of an anti trust lawsuit.

And the deal is pretty much dead at this point. With the UK, EU, and now the US against the deal Microsoft can forget it.

Yeah there's a ways to go yet but I'm enjoying watching each side flail wildly in the meantime. Today's fun tidbit was Microsoft trying to downplay the importance of the Bethesda acquisition saying games like Elder Scrolls fall into a niche category. Meanwhile the biggest selling CoD title sold the same amount as Skyrim

The thing is, they are right. The argument might be dumb, but it's a counter argument to another dumb argument. Sony is suddenly putting CoD in a pedestal igoring the fact that their biggest bulk of game sales actually come form their exclusives - and it's ironic how Sony is afraid Microsft will start doing something they already do themselves, such as pioneering the game prices increase among other questionable industry moves
