What would happen if...
Did any of you tried this: What would happen if you replay a level from the menu, let’s say Tomb of Qualopec which begins underneath the waterfall, and from there return to the hallway that leads to City of Vilcabamba. Will it load? Or will there be an (invisible) wall of some kind? I would have tried it myself but my PS2 stopped working unfortunately.

I’m fairly certain that there’ll be invisible walls preventing the player from traversing backwards. The waterfall probably serves as one to block access to the Lost Valley, the wooden gate stops you from going back to Caves when replaying City of Vilcabamba and so on...
I haven’t replayed individual levels in a long time, so take this with a grain of salt |

There is a menu that triggered if you quite the level : "Would you quite the level ? - Yes - No"
If you chose to keep playing, iirc, Lara would be teleported at the start of the level again. |

^Yep.
The game just asks you if you wish to exit the level and return to the main menu. |
