The Croft Codex is Moving to the AO3
Full disclosure: This is the first time I heard about any of that, I have no stake in it whatsoever, but I figured maybe there is someone here who cares.
The article is: https://archiveofourown.org/admin_posts/18417 The Croft Codex is an old Tomb Raider fan fiction collection that was active from 2005 to 2008, moderated and curated by HeidiA. It will now be imported in its entirety into Archive Of Our Own (aka AO3) under their Open Doors program, which means these old pieces of TR fan lore will be accessible again. If any of you had any stories on there and want them associated with your account, or don't want them associated with your account, or want them gone forever, or if you already posted them yourself and you don't need a second copy, the post above details how you can make all of this happen. They'll also be sending emails to everyone affected. Personally, I never heard of The Croft Codex before, but I think it's great that old fandom content is being preserved instead of being forgotten. |

Very happy to hear about this!
I had no idea the Croft Codex existed, but I'm familiar with some other curated fanfic archives (pre-fanfiction.net era) that have received the same treatment. It's great that AO3 is able to preserve these kinds of things, especially from a period of time that now feels so ephemeral, in internet terms. |
