Cias 2019
Its that time of the year again . With the end of the Summer season comes the annual Canadian International Airshow. This year, the Airshow was bit on the conservative side but it was fun.
This year, we had the Royal Red Arrows in town. Folks from the UK will get a kick from this . We also had a chance to see the Vintage Mig-17. Here is bit of interesting fact about the Mig-17. The Soviet Union acquired and then later reverse engineered a Rolls-Royce Nene VK-1 Engine from the British over a game of Billiards. Yep folks, the most notorious fighter of the Korean and Vietnam war that shot down quite a few American and Allied fighter Jets came to be over a bet. The latest Cargo lifter by Airbus, the A400M Atlas: We had a rescue demonstration from the The SAR Squadron flying the CH-146 Griffon: The latest Helicopter for the Canadian Navy, the CH-148 Cyclone: The American A-10 Thunderbolt: And finally, we have the Snowbirds: Last edited by Catapharact; 02-09-19 at 05:48. |

Cool pictures!
Was the A400M there as a guest from some country, or is Airbus trying to sell it to Canada? |

Glad you guys liked the Pictures .
It was a Guest Aircraft from the U.K. Us Canadians are pretty happy with our CC-130Hs, CC-130Js and C-17 Globemasters . Though last year, we had BAE Systems in town who were trying to promote the Eurofighter Typhoon. Ballsy of them to say the least given that Canada is involved with the development of the F-35.
