I love over-the-top buff Chris from RE5, it's hot and #iconic.

He did get dialled-down a little for RE6. He was still buff, but more believably so, I like that model a lot too.

That random man they tried to pass of as Chris in RE7 wasn't it.

Also I have a very strong appreciation for the copious amount of sexy fan arts LitoPerezito has done of Chris (he's on this forum with the username FearEffect)

I'm probably the only one that liked Chris' Darkside Chronicles model the most.

RE5/RE6 Chris gives me Bayman from DOA vibes

That one looks great as a younger pre-buff Chris.

I think it's cool how they kept very similar faces for the characters over the years, while changing other things to show the passage of time, like Chris getting buffer, Jill growing her hair out, Leon wearing facial hair when a little older etc.

I really don't understand why they had to change all their faces in recent games. They had realistic-enough looks to go off and their faces were so strongly established in a lot of cases. The only one I understand changing is Ada's because she didn't look Asian in RE6.

Then again, the changes gave us stud Carlos from RE3 remake so it was kinda worth it.

I think all of the main RE characters look their best now, thanks to the RE Engine. Chris is looking great in Village.

I remember when RE2R got announced, people thought Claire looked hideous but I still liked her model.

None of them look bad, I like Leon's and again Ada's new models in particular. I just like consistency.

Exactly the same as how (awful hair aside) Reboot Lara doesn't look horrible, she just doesn't resemble Lara to me.

Actually I saw a picture someone posted on Reddit a few days ago, where they edited Claire's hairstyle and outfit onto Jill's new RE3R model. The result actually looked more like Claire than the official RE2R Claire to me. Now I feel like Sasha should totally have been Claire's face model instead, which would make sense since Claire never really had a HD character model like the others had (except for in Revelations 2 and that model is generally hated, she looked like a potato)

Oh wow, I have to say seeing Sasha's face on Claire reminds me of Claire's original RE2/CV face. In fact I saw someone once say she looked like Tobey Maguire in REV2 & I haven't been able to unsee it since.

Jill in RE3R reminds me of Natalie Portman/Arielle Kebbel.

I haven't seen that movie, so I could be completely wrong, but from what I remember and judging by stuff I just researched , she was supposed to resemble your average campus blonde bimbo , but with a much higher IQ , sharper personality and a femme fatale attitude. So... the original design was intended to reflect and instantly convey the latter , while establishing a contrast between "hot" and "smart".
If that's the case, this director didn't really need to retouch the original design.
