Delayed can. Canceled no.

The only obvious thing is your negativity.

Just delayed probably. It seems pretty much everything that wasn’t already shooting when Covid hit has been delayed. My main fear is TR may end up being delayed for a longer time now that Covid seems to increase in the countries they were reportedly gonna shoot (like US and SA).

What makes me happy is that whenever Sora says the movie is cancelled we get proof of otherwise in a week or two.

Still, the Q&A sessions with Ben still say he is the director of the movie, MGM highlighted the first movie as an important source of revenue, the first one is also one of the movies returning to movie theatres in the UK once they reopen: if this was canceled, we'd probably know.

There has been zero news or proof of otherwise.
The last time you advertised a Q&A with Ben, he didn’t even mention the film at all.
And whenever it’s brought up, it’s been “Yeah we were gonna make it but... dunno...”

Y’all keep acting like “MGM thinking the first film is important!” takes priority over “the numerous delays and let offs have left the company in a dangerous financial state.”

There’s the possibility they simply don’t have the resources anymore to film a movie like Tomb Raider 2. It could be an entire other year before international travel is allowed. And they can’t risk making a sequel, when the main two countries the first film was largely financially successful in, are still struggling with the virus.

Mark my words, the next Q&A, which you’ve been irresponsibly advertising as it being about Tomb Raider, will not have anything in relation tomb raider.

He’ll either not bring it up, or he’ll say “Dunno.”

All major studio movies are frozen right now. I don't understand what part you don't understand ...

According to your theory, all the films planned in all the studios have been canceled because there is no news and there is uncertainty. Okay

I'm uncertain of the status if the film. It is concerning we have the lack of news but I'd say it's more so on hold at the moment.

MGM are buying a lot of smaller Oscar bait projects at the moment and probably revising their strategy for a sale. I dunno whether they'll put it on hold a while longer to complete a sale or if they'll want it out first to add to their slate.

Films don’t usually get announced as being cancelled.
That’s why they call it “development hell.”

It usually isn’t even discussed that it was cancelled until decades after the fact.

Your second metaphor made no sense by the way. That’s not my logic at all.

The fact that there’s a global pandemic, the film studio let off over 100 employees, and there’s been zero updates on its progress IS development hell.

Are you expecting them to announce “Hey everyone! Our film is in development hell!”...? Like what point are you trying to make? lol
