The start of Nevada is a masterpiece of game artwork and design; within the limitations of the PS era graphics it is amazing what they achieved.

It oozes atmosphere aided by the simple but really effective ambient audio; blazing sun, hot and dry desert to begin with, that is relieved with the still sunlit but water filled ravine and waterfall, the cool cavern at the top of that and then out into the sun again and so on.

You almost feel the heat and feel refreshed by the water; that's how good it is.

Have to say that hating London and Antarctica is just wrong; together they're practically half the game.

Default Tr 3

Ahh yes, I remember this game with fondness and frustration.
How did the raptors get out of the lost valley in TR 1, and further how did they get to south America?:
My favorite levels are south american jungles and Antarctica.

The Lost Valley was in South America, somewhere in the Peruvian Andes.

The South Seas Islands are meant to be part of what was left of sub-tropical Antarctica after the meteor struck. The dinosaurs were there because back then it was connected to what is now South America all as one giant super continent (Gondwana) or part of the later larger continental land masses, like Pangaea, when the dinosaurs were around.

Default About the raptors in the south seas island

Good point Fallenangle, I suppose they could have trekked from Peru down to coast then took a little swim to the islands.

The raptors do enjoy munching the soldiers, but the soldiers don't always seem to mind:

Games can be a bit buggy at times.

Default Just recalled

I just remembered something about TR 3 that I liked. The funky mutant spider boss with a human head. You had to keep your distance from it and shoot it with either a desert eagle or the bazooka. Lol, I remember how times I got cooked by the blue flames it shoots.
