When do we think we're likely to hear about who has the film rights? I was hoping by the end of this year, but perhaps that's unrealistic.

It depends really. The initial report was that GK Films wanted to secure a production company within weeks and close the deal but I've heard of certain bidding wars going on for up to a year. I guess at this point companies are either still bidding or someone's been secured and is awaiting the legal proceedings.

Would anyone be surprised at this point if Embracer bought the film rights too so they could keep all media under one umbrella?

That's actually a possibility. They did recently buy the rights to the Middle Earth universe (The Hobbit, LOTR, etc)

Don't Embracer already own the film rights? If Crystal own the film rights, and Embracer own Crystal, then...?

I know this is not new, but this piece of dialog that was taken off of the movie. I wish that we could have seen the full version of the movie

^it kind of implies Mathias knew about her regular life in England, like she was being watched
It makes sense since he was in contact with Ana..

I always knew this! I feel like Methias was in contact with trinity and they let these savages form their own society on the island but they were contracted and were made aware of Lara.

Another storyboard for TR2 Ben Wheatley's version : It's a chase sequence in the streets Chronicles vibe and we have Lara making a flip jump on a car

Thumbs up

Thanks for the heads up Ellioft. Here is an archive of the storyboards released so far and massive thanks to Jake for helping us preserve Tomb Raider history.

I wish we could see some actual Tomb scenes. The vibes I am getting from this is fun but it's a bit more pedestrian in the storyboards we have been shown so far. Seems reminiscent of the Jolie films. I wanna see were they were gonna put the budget.
