I just did. It is the only survivor game I haven't played, so a free price tag is excellent. I'll get around to it when I finish my remastered runs.

I kinda just...got bored of this game once JOH-NAHHHHHHHHH returned and Lara heads towards the final area. I can't seem to pick it up again. I really enjoyed the game up until now. It just feels like the story isn't as engaging from this point.

Anyone else get bored of this game towards to end?

That part was completely unnecessary lol it’s so out of nowhere. They could’ve scrapped that whole part and it wouldn’t have made a difference, gameplay wise or story wise. Luckily the section doesn’t take too long and the rest of the game is as good as what came before it

The only let-down for me was the quick time event final boss fight!

Regarding "free" on Amazon Prime, the only thing I care about is DRM-free - unfortunately, nothing new here.

This game is itself a relic of a bygone era, with its Russian nightmare/fairy tale setting and glittering Byzantine art background (the "Empire that wouldn't die"

). And it can be said to have spawned the Dead End Thrills hi-res screenshot mania, it was "just so pretty"

.

We shall most likely never see its like again.
