I do think there are worst choices out there, We narrowly avoided Cara Delevigne during the first film, when actresses were auditioning for the part she even befriended Roar Uthaug on Social media.
I did theorise a few posts back that Sophie might just be relaxing and enjoying some time with her children before throwing herself into the role. I do think she may have even begun training because her body looked in great shape during the LV event from what the silhouette from her leather dress looked like. I do also think she has the makings of a good Lara, she reminds me of Emily Blunt and her role in Joan was a bit more exciting than her other roles which didn't really stretch her acting skills. |

Jury's out till it's out. It's called acting for a reason, there's also hair and makeup along with physical prep. If Sophie got casted, wait till the series is out and she either does a good job or not efore criticising

It's not the end of the world, but I still can't quite understand what kind of sorcery Sophie performed to get the part over Lily James and Emma Mackey, both of who are absolute perfection for Lara Croft of 2020s.
Angelina will always be the blueprint though, alas, she's one-of-a-kind and they're looking for younger actresses. |

Honestly the more I see Sophie the more I can see why she might get the part. She had a stricking face look at her Instagram you will see what I mean.

I think filming will begin soon it's been featured in today's Production Weekly, I don't have a subscription but I see it listed on the website.

Emma definitely has some Lara-ish features and knows how to play a bad ass but maaaybe not exactly in the femme fatale kind of way I think they are going for Lara? I might be wrong but that's my guess. That or conflicting schedules. Also, Sophie is the more marketable option of the three so I can see them rationalizing that Sophie's star power would bring in more public. |

I hope they can age her up a bit in the show, I'm tired of baby Croft. Lara Croft was always meant to be a mature woman and a lot of newish actresses just look too young to play Lara.

She's 29 years old most of Lara's adventures was when she was between 21 to 32 so not really.

29 is great for a more mature adventure
If it really is Sophie, my only problem is that I can't 'swallow' the worried face she makes in her performances, it seems very amateurish. She seems great for sarcastic expressions |
