The previous tomb raider that got lost in there was an electrician so he thought he'd re-wire the place

Guess it could work if you take into account the planet puzzle and the electric current that goes off when they aligned, so maybe they harnised some form of electric current for the lamps

Not sure if it's a bug or not but anyway.. on The Mastaba level, where you have to release the monkey so it will pull down the lever from the ceiling.

On few tries, the monkey will do nothing and just scratches it's neck. Won't scale the wall and pull the damn lever down.

After few reloads, finally stupid monkey decided to scale the wall and pulled the lever down.

I am sure it didn't happen on original version that was released 25 years ago.

It's exactly why I'm wondering why bulbs. It ruins that magical ancient knowledge feeling for me. The old design was pyramid shape and a light bulb feels industrial. It broke my suspension of disbelief.

An electrician raider seems plausible though

In the og graphics it's actually a crystal inside which is more logical, not a light bulb so it's something they did in remastered graphics, and only the devs could maybe explain why it went from crystals to light bulbs

Maybe they are magical artifacts shaped like light bulbs.

In the Valley of the Kings, there are some buggy textures that phase in and out based on distance right in front of the car before you start the chase.

There is no action indicator when tryong to insert the key in the car.

The controllers are also vibrating constantly while in the vehicle.

There’s a weird bug in the OG visuals in KV5 where I can make the horizon line be flat even though there is geometry that should be visible in front of it.

In the cutscene where Lara jumps on a boat in a jeep with goons shooting at her, in OG graphics on the switch, the borders are a creamy pink color instead of black and the audio seems to be delayed (could be caused by closing out the game and coming back in on the switch).
