Default The Umbrella Academy on Netflix

No thread yet?

Just finished watching Season One, and my husband and I really enjoyed it.

Even though the "twist" is pretty easy to figure out early on, the characters are all interesting and the storytelling is good.

I'm assuming they'll be a season two.

I have yet to see this due to not having the time and because I'm not subscribed to Netflix,if I were I would never get through my large backlog of TV shows, movies, books and computer games.

Hopefully it will be released on DVD at some point, I'm only interested in The Umbrella Academy because Ellen Page is in it, if she wasn't in it I probably wouldn't watch it, I'm more likely to watch something if there is someone I like in it.

Anything with Ellen Page in it is worth watching Juno and Hard Candy I liked her in X-Men The Last Stand which is the first movie I saw her in, Whip It is good too.

I've seen two eps and it's yet to hook me. Ellen Page is so mind-numbingly boring in this so far. Does that keep up?

It gets quite good. I agree with Ellen being really boring but that was the point of her character, given where they go with her story in later episodes.

I'm curious about it. Can someone give me an idea on what it's about?

Basically, 43 women simultaneously give birth without prior signs of pregnancy on October 1, 1989. A billionaire buys seven of these suddenly born children and discovers they have superpowers. He forms a disfunctional team of super powered kids who part ways but then reunite years later to solve a mystery having to do with their adoptive father.

I've watched the first two episodes, and I really like it. It does need to pick up the pace a little, but it's not too bad. My favorite character is Klaus.

Finished it a while ago and quite liked it. It's a nice mix of quirky/weird, dark and humorous.

Phenomenal series. I’m very keen for season 2. The production is beautiful. Klaus is definitely my favourite character.

Watched this with the other half when it was released and we really enjoyed it. So glad they’re bringing it back for a second series
