Cool

Well, here we go! Now it's perfect i think.



I have figured out how to start the map now, beginning to build it.

I'm working on a better version of that video right now!
However I'm encountering some more problems but I think everything can be solved.

My intention was using the sword guardians strictly on non-vertical spaces, but if the flying pattern can be used effectively... it could actually change my design and add extra coolness to the map.

Those frozen enemies look sooo good

If I may ask, the brown textures clashes a little with the blue stones, is it intended?

It would be great if you can make them fly as well, maybe they can come at you from an upper platform so you can't shoot them while they come to life (that could make the battle more challenging).

Yeah, those textures serve as contrast, it wouldn't be much good to have only blue everywhere. But keep in mind i'm not the best at texturing so... And it's also a small test room i did in 2 minutes. I'm using mostly just the original TR2 textures to build, they're limited. Believe it or not, the ground tiles i'm using here aren't actually from Ice Palace, they're from TR2 Gold Fool's Gold level, recolored!

That's a great idea for the statues, thanks! It would be awesome if it can work like that.

I have discovered something new today about the TR2 engine... by accident.

What i wanted to experiment with, is having a timed switch trigger activate a music track, to inform the player that it's a timed segment.
But turns out you cannot activate music with timed triggers.
Then i thought: what about the switch activating a rolling ball and that rolling ball activate the music with a "item_at_sector" trigger?

And it turns out that doing that works perfectly...and when the timer runs out, the ball returns to its original position!

The only downside about having music in a timed segment, is that you can only use a track once, you would need to have copies of it and use a different track # slot each time. :\
