Default Tomb Raider Kingdom - PS1

After some turbulence, and a very long radio silence.
I'm going back to Tomb Raiding.

Here's some small update, old and new vids available here:

TRAILER 1:

TEST GAMEPLAY #1:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nNwXTG5_a8

Testing modified enemy "Guardian Angel" from Turkey levels,
and some gameplay from Spain level "Castle Vilmar"

TEST GAMEPLAY #2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVsqY-Wucus

Fully recreated, and with a crate-less main hall TR1 Croft Manor!
Perhaps not pixel perfect recreation, but a very faithful, and expanded version of Croft Manor.

I appreciate fans reactions, and enthusiasm, it's very inspirational.

Also i've decided to use classic TR logo mixed with Unfinished Business title frame, and font.

Big thanks to all the people that are helping me with this project.
B122251, Dan, lots of TRFORUMS users, and also Thank You TRJTA for letting me use, and modify one of Your Croft Manor renders as a new loading screen.

Don't be shy to ask questions.

New screenshot album will show up soon, as soon as i figure out how to share an album via link.

So how do You like this crate-less Croft Manor?
Is it a blasphemy to add that cupboard / small storage room to the left of Lara's bedroom? It has at least 3 different versions as of now, that i'm considering adding, but i don't know which one would be the best.
1 version is a regular room with books, and some furnitures, 2 version is shown in this video, and the 3 version is just a 1x1 block room, a small cupboard. Let me know.

This looks really nice and original. The idea of a PS1 exclusive Tomb Raider level set is interesting too, kind of like it was released in an alternative timeline. And yet it feels weirdly nostalgic somehow. I'll be trying this out for sure.

The PS1 converter tool is available at b122251.org in the tools area.

Keep in mind - it's not an instant process! Ie. You generally cant just drag and drop a file and expect it to work. You need to ensure the level file is, optimized for the Ps1 (limited texture pages for example). Sadly its not compatible at present with levels made with Tomb Editor, only DXtre3d levels.

Had much fun with fexmerger and the like converting some well known customs the optimization process can get a little tedious though hah!

To the thread author, what a fantastic idea and concept. Best of luck, the trailer looks awesome!

Wow, nice project, and nice outfits
But why is it only for PS1? For me it's better to have it also for PC.

I really liked what I see. I seriously can't express the feelings with my words I really really liked it. Eagerly waiting for it. I also wish there was a direct pc version but I can undestand your ps1 aesthetic vision so I will be emulating it. Plus I'm really curious about Turkey chapter as I live there

It look really good! I just hope you can improve some areas, because I see some that have almost no lighting and looks a bit off!

So this means I can burn this game into a cd and play on my playstation?
