A shame it didn’t sold well...
But they actually made a profit because they only marketed the game to people who were a big fan of the classics. So it actually didn't do poorly in sales, the budget of this game was dramatically reduced from Legend.

So I decided to play a little bit of TRA to refresh my memory and honestly I can see a bit why some complain about it. It's very automated and linear. Like I can see where some of the mechanics with transversal come from in the reboot. The combat is something I don't actually prefer all that much. The wives and bears can smack Lara around easily and the amount of shots it takes to kill enemies because of the adrenaline Dodge is kinda annoying. I kinda prefer the reboots combat in that regard. Although I wish Lara could do the rolls and flips in the reboot that she can do here.

The difficulty is all but removed in TRA as there is no need to measure your jumps and actually make an effort to try and make it to the other side.

I would say that while I do like some aspects of TRA, the original game is better overall.

Shame on to those wives and ‘bears’ (husbands?).......

I actually liked the adrenaline dodge, wished it returned for Underworld.
Reboot Lara would be badass doing those flips and rolls... with pistols?!?

I hope the next consoles/PC hardwares have enough technology power for that... It could have been cool if there were two extra trigger buttons for the new PS/XS controller imo

For the bajillionth time, it was released only for PS2 and PC at first when the PS3 was already released. Legend was released on literally every platform so of course it sold better. I’m pretty sure the sales figures are a lot higher now since it came out on PS3, 360 and Wii much later on.

That made me happy tbh, glad people got to play this underrated gem, only if it was also released for the original Xbox and Gamecube......

At least the LAU trilogy needs a PS4-XONE-PC remaster (since we have no hope for the Classics)

I also agree with you.

Both games have their shortcomings but overall TRA is better in my opinion.
