Hey guys, I just wanted to thank everyone involved in this amazing project, I was already using it for its amazing features and now that I discovered that it helps me push my modding limits even further I love even more.

This is merely from a curiosity point not really a request, even though It would be great to see it implemented if it is easy enough.

I notice that when I mod the game, the colors of the textures get really meh, I think it's because the game uses 8bit for colors or something like that so a full range of rgb is not possible.

This is a quick image of how it looks vs how it looks in game

Would it be easy to make the game use full rgb?

Also I think what allowed me to make more complex mods was this:

"changed maximum textures from 2048 to 8192"
"changed maximum texture pages from 32 to 128"

Is there any chance to make those unlimited or even higher?

I've put in a request for subtitles on the tomb1main github page, if there's any progress on this feature then you can track it here.

Yes, it is because TR1 uses solely 8-bit palettized textures, meaning you can't really get full RGB range, nor can you get even narrow range which covers any reasonable gamut. Original TR artists had to use colors of a narrow range in every level to mask that - that's why you usually see all textures in same level having almost the same hue.

Sadly it's not possible to solve this issue without changing file format, which I am not sure T1M developer(s) are really interested in.

You can open an issue for it on Github. No promises but doesn't hurt to ask.

Really really novice question I added a feature request to the github and it's been approved/seems to have been completed. Do we have to wait until the next "release"? Or is there a way I can check it out sooner?

Ya you have to wait for the next release unless you compile the code yourself.
